SSK, a well-established and diversified agricultural company, is currently recruiting for the following position in its Procurement Department, located in Mossel Bay.
CATEGORY MANAGER
The suitable candidate, who will report to the Head of Procurement, will be primarily responsible for the following: purchasing following the centralized purchasing policy and strategy, management and maintenance of the SSK supplier network, handling of trade branch suppliers’ and inventory-related problems as well as the implementation of corrective steps, arranging and coordinating regular marketing and advertising campaigns, and maintaining professional business relationships.
The ideal candidate will possess at least five years of relevant experience, excellent communication and negotiation skills, planning and prioritizing, computer literacy, as well as good administrative skills. Proven knowledge and a good understanding of retail concepts, familiarity with customer needs within agriculture and general retail, the ability to work independently, maintain good human relations, and have a positive approach to customer service within the agricultural sector and the public.
